Charles Hickey is Gates Biomanufacturing Facility’s (GBF) Director of Finance and has 20 years of experience in the field of finance, with over 15 years specifically in the manufacturing industry.

He joined GBF, with its focus on CDMO Manufacturing, in September of 2020 as Director of Finance and Administration. Prior to this, he was the Controller/CFO for a mid-sized Colorado Springs Bio-manufacturing company, where he grew the business to over 200 employees.

Before that, Charles was the Sr. Financial Controller for Evoqua Water Technologies, a division of Siemens Industry that spun off and relisted on the NASDAQ in Jan 2016 (AUQUA).

As the former Cost Accounting Manager for Ingersoll Rand’s – Climate Control Division in St. Louis, he led cost accounting for a multi-million-dollar manufacture of specialty refrigeration equipment (Hussmann).

Charles was also the former Financial Manager for GE Aviation’s MRO & FBO business, former Chief Fiscal Officer for the City of St. Louis Department of Health and Hospitals, and the former Fiscal Manager for the City of St. Louis Office of Budget and Management, responsible for Public Safety funding for the city.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Economics from Southern Illinois University, and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Missouri.
